Aw, I’m sorry to see you go! Tumblr has turned into quite a sour place recently, I totally understand your decision to leave.. I’m now following you on Twitter (such a stalker) so hopefully this isn’t goodbye! :)

The Twitter things totally fine :) . To be honest, my Tumblr followers know more about my life than most of the people in it!!

And yeah; I’ve sort of being getting angrier and angrier at certain things that have been popping up on here; and how horribly black and white (literally in some cases) people seem to think issues are. I don’t know; I was kind of getting tired of being told that I’m not ‘properly’ left-wing because I don’t hold a personal grudge against the monarchy or that I’m not a ‘proper’ feminist because I’m white. And then the recent influx of posts bashing exams when my achievement in those is the only thing that I am actually proud of in my life has kind of been the last straw.

I Guess This is Goodbye.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this website over the past few days (I have no revision to do…my life is pretty empty) and I’ve come to the conclusion that unfortunately I’m not sure if this is a place that I’m particularly happy being at the minute.

I’m trying to do this thing where I limit the kind of…crappy bits in my life and I think sadly this site, where I once felt so at home, has become kind of a negative influence. Constantly having all of my achievements, beliefs, eating habits, drinking habits-whatever attacked kind of takes its toll; and I think I need to take some time away.

If any of the handful of you that have stuck around and actually seem to pay attention to what I post are interested I’m on Facebook here and Twitter here

I will say thanks for being a semi-silent listening board through some fairly crappy times-I’m very grateful. And I’ll probably still use this account of pop back occasionally to find out what’s going on on Glee ;).

I’m sorry, but if someone was wielding a gun at me, I’d probably (try to) punch them as well.

Alyssa Rosenberg: Glee is an Immoral Television Show & It's Time to Stop Watching It

It’s become impossible to escape the fact that Glee is an immoral show, but not for the reasons that cultural conservatives believe. It’s become a show that’s not just sloppy but exploitative and manipulative of serious societal issues and human experiences. And it’s time to walk away, even for hate-watching purposes.
